We are deeply grateful for the momentum building within The Next Chapter Capital Campaign, especially through the extraordinary generosity of our alumni families.
Both of our recent matching gifts—the 2/24 announcement of the $1M match and the $250,000 match at the Star-Spangled Gala—have been fully exceeded, thanks to the amazing generosity of the WA community! Remarkably, both matches were established by alumni families who prayerfully and thoughtfully discerned their giving. After reflecting on WA’s 55-year legacy, speaking with their children and current families, and seeing firsthand the lasting impact of a Westminster Academy education, both families felt called to invest in this mission in an unprecedented way.
Their generosity reflects a powerful truth: alumni are among the strongest evidence of mission fulfillment. Whether through financial support or by enrolling their own children—currently 174 second-generation Lions—alumni continue to affirm the lasting impact of WA across generations.
At the auction, Campaign Chairs Chris and Sherry Clements shared why they have chosen to lead and support The Next Chapter. As parents of alumni with one child still in high school, they emphasized that this campaign is about far more than buildings—it is about the people we develop and the programs that shape students into Christian leaders who impact every sphere of society, including service to our country. Our long-standing relationship with the U.S. Naval Academy is just one example of this legacy.
Two of those WA alumni who graduated from the Naval Academy are Trent and Blake Shaw, brothers who grew up on our pool deck and are now serving our country. They are on active duty, but we were encouraged by a powerful interview with their parents reflecting on how WA prepares students for lives of purpose and service. Click HERE to see the video.
