Putting Faith into Action: Students Serve with CROS Ministrie

At Westminster Academy, service is more than an activity—it’s an opportunity for our students to put their faith into action and live out the call to love our neighbors. Recently, our 4th and 5th-grade students did just that through a meaningful service project with CROS Ministries.

Our students spent the day gleaning in the fields, harvesting nearly 3,000 pounds of fresh peppers. These peppers were donated to local food banks and the VA hospital to bless veterans and families experiencing food insecurity in our tri-county area.

CROS Ministries serves thousands in our community by providing access to healthy produce, and we are grateful our students could play a part in meeting such a real and immediate need. Their hard work and servant hearts made a difference!

Later this month, our 6th-grade students will also have the opportunity to serve with CROS Ministries—a wonderful tradition that helps our students see firsthand the impact of giving back.

We are so proud of our students for being the hands and feet of Christ in our community!
