15 May A Word from Dr. Satterly—May 14, 2026
Dear WA Community,
As the school year draws to a close, campus life takes on a particularly meaningful rhythm—filled with celebration, reflection, and anticipation. This year has also been marked by unmistakable kairos moments that point clearly to God’s faithfulness at work at Westminster Academy.
From the acquisition of the La Quinta property and land lease, to Demo Day, to the launch of The Next Chapter Capital Campaign on 2/24, and now the anticipation of our Phase One Groundbreaking Ceremony next week, we have watched God continue to open doors and guide our steps. We end the year with deep gratitude for all He has done and expectant hope for what He is still unfolding.
In the midst of this momentum, we are reminded not to rush past the sacred rhythm of Baccalaureate and Commencement. Held at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, these ceremonies reflect both our church–school partnership and the significance of Christian education. At WA, we often say, “Family never graduates,” a truth that feels especially meaningful as we celebrate the Class of 2026.
This senior class is a strong, gifted group, well-prepared for what lies ahead. We are especially pleased to recognize Valedictorian Grace Sabetimani, who will attend Tufts University, and Salutatorian Ryann Mahoney, who will attend The University of Chicago. Their leadership, character, and accomplishments reflect the very best of Westminster Academy.
We are honored to welcome two distinguished speakers who will help mark these sacred milestones. Pastor Sam Kastensmidt, Pastor of Education at Rio Vista Church and former Westminster Academy Bible teacher, will deliver the Baccalaureate message on Thursday, May 21. Dr. Beck A. Taylor, President of Samford University and respected Christian higher education leader and economist, will address our graduates at Commencement on Friday, May 22.
Both services begin at 7:00 p.m. at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and will be livestreamed at coralridge.tv.
We are grateful for the many who have faithfully invested in and shaped our seniors throughout their Westminster Academy journey. With hearts full of gratitude, we reflect on all He has done and look ahead with confidence in His continued faithfulness.
To God be the glory—great things He has done!
Blessings,
