Community & Culture

We will cultivate a Christ-centered community that values, uplifts, and equips stakeholders to serve with love and integrity.

We will nurture a Christ-centered community where every student, family, and staff member feels valued and known, supported, and empowered. By fostering a culture of love, respect, and servant leadership, we will cultivate relationships that reflect God’s grace and prepare students to impact the world with faith, integrity, and compassion.

Goal #1: Strengthen Student Life and School Culture

Design and implement enhancements to student life programming that foster meaningful peer-to-peer relationships, encourage effective community service, promote positive student behavior and conduct, and cultivate leadership and deeper community connections.

Desired Outcomes:

  1. Student Extracurricular Engagement: Students in grades 6–12 participate in at least one co-curricular activity (athletics, fine arts, clubs, service organizations).
  2. Cultivate Christ-Centered Relationships and Leadership: Students cultivate authentic, Christ-centered relationships that reflect biblical love, respect, and service, fostering a school community where faith shapes friendships, behavior, and leadership across all grade levels.
  3. Expand School-Wide Opportunities for Connection and Community: Increase opportunities for school-wide student experiences meant to cultivate deeper relationships.

Goal #2: Advance Faith Formation and Spiritual Life

Implement a student faith formation and spiritual life inventory, and evaluate current spiritual programming to develop a reinvigorated chapel program, expanded cross-divisional engagement, intentional discipleship events, and opportunities for staff-led spiritual leadership.

Desired Outcomes:

  1. Growth in Faith: Students develop a biblical worldview and personal faith practices.
  2. Student-Initiated Spiritually-Focused Activities: Students take the initiative to create before-school and during-lunch devotions and times of worship and prayer.

Goal #3: Celebrate and Build Community Identity

Strengthen intentional ceremonies and events that celebrate student accomplishments, school milestones, and community partnerships in ways that reflect and reinforce the school’s Christ-centered mission, values, and desired outcomes.

Desired Outcomes:

  1. Recognition of Accomplishments: Increased participation in outside programs and competitions that recognize excellence in various areas, which provide exposure to the community beyond WA.

Goal #4: Foster a Unified and Vibrant School Culture

Promote a cohesive, mission-driven culture by aligning student life, spiritual development, and community celebrations to nurture belonging, unity, and joy across all divisions of the school.

Desired Outcomes

  1. Foster Christ-Centered Belonging and Mission Identity: A Christ-centered sense of belonging and shared mission identity flourishes among students, faculty, and families across all divisions.
  2. Integrate Student Life and Spiritual Formation: Student life and spiritual formation programs are intentionally integrated to help students grow in Christlikeness and live out the school’s mission.
  3. Celebrate Community Through Christ-Honoring Traditions: School traditions and community gatherings reflect joy, gratitude, and unity in Christ, strengthening relationships among students, families, and staff.
