11 Dec Sharing The Joy Of Christmas In The Community
Upper School students went above and beyond to collect gifts for our annual 4KIDS toy drive. Their dedication, generosity, and teamwork will help bring Christmas cheer and hope to children in foster care across South Florida. This heartfelt initiative reflects the kindness and compassion of our students, who are committed to making a difference in the lives of children this holiday season.
Operation Shoebox was a powerful display of service and generosity throughout our school! Our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) students packed and delivered 158 gift-filled shoeboxes—each one a reminder of hope, love, and the heart of our WA community. We are so grateful for our students who continue to live out their faith and make an impact far beyond our campus.
Our sixth graders put gratitude into action through a Thanksgiving service project, creating “Love Bags” for residents of HomesUnited, a ministry partner of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. With decorated bags, handwritten notes, and thoughtful gifts, students shared encouragement and Christ’s love with those in our community in need.
The Spanish Honor Society is hosting a Christmas service project collecting food and household items for Every Mother’s Advocate. This organization supports moms in crisis and works to keep families together. This effort provides practical care and encouragement to families in need this holiday season.
Over the past few weeks, our fifth-grade Kindness Crew has been spreading joy across campus and throughout Fort Lauderdale. This fifth-grade student-led group packed hygiene kits for families in need through Hope South Florida, blessed our faculty and staff, created a Kindness Rock Garden, and shared Christmas cheer. Their acts of service beautifully reflect compassion, creativity, and a heart for others.
Seventh graders teamed up with Super School for a joyful field day filled with games, friendship, and encouragement for students with varying disabilities. Together, they built meaningful connections while celebrating the truth that every child is uniquely made in God’s image. What a wonderful way to spread His love!
