National Honor Society & NJHS Updates

Members from the Westminster Academy National Honor Society visited the Lauderdale Lakes Alzheimer’s Center to sing and make crafts with those served by the Center. It is the first time since 2019 that they have been able to visit due to COVID-19. Students were excited to return as this has been a regular part of their service to the community.

In October, the Westminster Academy National Junior Honor Society inducted its newest members. These 8th-grade students demonstrated the five core values: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. Each must have a GPA of 3.75 or higher in core classes and be recommended by teachers and staff during the last school year. They also went through an application process where they wrote an essay. Together they will serve the community and will each complete a minimum of 10 service hours this year. The current service project is Operation Christmas Child.
