We are proud to announce that WA is partnering with First Baptist Fort Lauderdale for their Christmas Pageant. Many of our students and families have participated in the pageant over the decades. However, this year WA has the unique opportunity to showcase our various fine arts groups during the pageant’s Holiday Dinners. Offered in addition to the performances, these dinners are in the Downtown Event Center, just steps from the auditorium. There might not be a red carpet, and no one will ask you, “who are you wearing?” However, it will be a fun night out to join the sixth grade for their movie premiere next week. “We have been working on stop motion movies in art class this quarter,” said Mrs. Sonja Timmer. “We would like to celebrate the completion of our movies by inviting families to the first-ever Sixth Grade Movie Premiere Night!” Students will present their one-minute stop motion movies beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, in DeVos Chapel.  ...

Back by popular demand, the Homecoming game will include a tie-dye booth again this year. The National Art Honor Society will host this activity on Friday, October 5 at the game. They will offer shirts and tie-dye for $10, or you can bring your own shirt and tie-dye for $5. The booth will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All ages and artistic abilities are welcome.
