On Monday, September 9, Westminster Academy will host the Christian College Fair. This event will be in our gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and we expect 38 schools in attendance. For example, colleges and universities like Gordon College, Samford University, Liberty University, and Wheaton College will take part. We encourage students to take this opportunity to explore these schools and talk to their representatives. The Varsity Athletic Awards took place on Thursday, May 23, in the Kennedy Fellowship Hall. The night included a video slideshow featuring action photos of our student-athletes, a team recognition video, and finally, an awards presentation. The accomplishments of our teams and student-athletes were celebrated, and it was a memorable night. The highest award of the evening is the C.L.A.S.S. Award for a male and female athlete who has displayed Christ-likeness, dynamic leadership, academic excellence, servant attitude, and sportsmanship in their athletic careers. Every year, Boosterthon puts the “fun” in fundraising. While the Lower School Fun Run held on April 18 was in fact fun, it was also a huge success and raised over $25,000! This total breaks last year's! Students from PK2 through fifth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. In addition, students built up their character with this year’s theme—Mind Spark. In this incredible, science-infused character theme, students helped a team of brainy kids solve problems.
