Our annual dinner auction, Let’s Flamingle, presented by Benedetti Orthodontics, will be held on Friday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Fellowship Hall. Before anyone can “flamingle,” we need to plan! The development team invites all WA parents to join us on Thursday, October 10, at 8:00 a.m. in the Lower School Media Center. There, auction planning will officially begin. The team will also provide coffee and light refreshments. This is the largest fundraising event of the year, so your involvement counts! The WA annual golf tournament, sponsored by All American Windows and Doors will be held on Monday, October 21, at the Coral Ridge Country Club at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $275 per golfer/$1100 per foursome. All skill levels are welcome. Even students are invited to participate. Both gross and net teams will receive an award, and prizes will go to closest to the pin, longest drive, and more! Not a golfer? You can still participate! This year's tournament will also include a Helicopter Ball-Drop, brought to you by Sapoznik Insurance. Every year, Westminster Academy joins Saint Andrew’s School, St. Thomas Aquinas, and North Broward Preparatory School to sponsor the Sunshine College Fair. This private event for our high school students will take place Saturday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Saint Andrew’s High School in their Malnik Family Athletic Center. This year, over 200 universities and colleges will attend the fair, giving students ample opportunities to explore their options and talk to admissions representatives. The Westminster Academy Alumni Association will hold their annual induction ceremony for the Athletic Hall of Honor on Friday, September 27, at 5:30 p.m. before the Homecoming game. The Hall of Honor exists to recognize the men and women who made outstanding contributions to the WA athletic program. Since 1971, the WA Lions have a distinguished athletic legacy.
