On Friday, March 1, A Night Under the Big Top gave way to big contributions to WA! We anticipate the generous giving from our annual dinner auction will be a net total of over $224,000, surpassing last year’s record by $76,258! On March 6, sixth-grade student, Brady Oropesa, represented WA in the Miami Herald Spelling Bee. There were 67 public and private schools who sent students to compete in this county-wide event. In addition to improving students’ spelling skills and increasing vocabulary, spelling bee participation provides valuable experience in developing poise. As a result, Brady gained a necessary skill for success in public speaking and performing arts.
