Over the summer, U.S. Congress invited WA junior, Derek Petrisko, and WA alumnus, Christian Petrisko ’18, to Washington, D.C. On June 20, in the nation’s Capitol Building, Congress awarded them the Congressional Gold Medals for their initiative, service, and achievement. Afterward, the brothers then received STEM stars in the Kennedy Caucus Room of the Russell Senate Building. There, they addressed members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate to discuss their work in environmental conservation and protection....

As we begin another school year, we continue to appreciate the support of our ancillary staff. Our quality lunch service remains with SAGE Dining this school year. We are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at WA. Again this year, we will be selling the stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium to help raise funds for the basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball programs.
