13 Oct Vero Beach Spiritual Retreats
During the week of September 19, students in grades six and up went to Vero Beach for their Spiritual Retreats. During this time, they worshiped together and heard from WA alumnus Will Buschmann ’12, the Student Ministries Director at Rio Vista Church, who talked about the importance of their relationship with God and how to keep it strong.
Later in the day, activities began that fostered team building with other students and teachers, like kayaking, bike riding, basketball, cupcake decorating, and paintballing. After the main activities concluded, students headed to the beach, followed by lunch, and then wrapped up the day with another worship service.
“It was fun to come together with all of the high school to enjoy the activities and the worship services. My favorite activity was jumping from the tower onto the Water Blob,” shared WA junior, Elle Nava.
