Lower School Students Raise Funds For Holy Cross Cancer Center

Lower School Student Council President, Joey Pekic, developed a fundraising idea to sell pink pens during breast cancer awareness month in October. Before Thanksgiving, Joey was able to personally hand one of those pink pens to Mark Doyle, President and CEO of Holy Cross Health Fort Lauderdale, along with an $810 check! Funds were given to the Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center of Holy Cross. We are so proud of all of our student council representatives who worked hard to raise funds and our families who generously responded. Joey’s leadership clearly demonstrates one of the characteristics in our Portrait of a Graduate that we seek to develop in all of our students—being a compassionate contributor! Way to go Joey and Lower School School Student Council!
