The Lions Swimming and Diving teams had an impressive showing at their District meet on Saturday, October 31. With several weather delays, both Ladies’ and Men’s teams were still able to capture the District Championship titles. There were also quite a few Individual Champions to celebrate in their respective events: Tori Barbar (500 free), Christian Clark (50 free and 100 free), Abigail Farrar (Diving), JoJo Richter (100 back), Blake Shaw (Diving), and Men’s 200 free relay of Christian Clark, Max Flores, Mark Pekic, and Blake Shaw. Way to go Aquatic Lions!

Congratulations to the Varsity Ladies’ and Men’s Cross Country teams as both teams qualified for the Regional meet, which will take place on Saturday, November 7, at South Fork High School in Stuart. The Ladies’ were District Runner-Ups while then Men’s team placed third. The meet saw a dozen athletes run their seasons’ best or their personal best. Rebekah Cochrane and William LeClair both broke the 30-minute barrier. With Rebekah making this accomplishment, a dozen girls on the team are now under 30 minutes for the season. Receiving ribbons on the Ladies’ end were freshman Olivia Holland (7th place), freshman Gabrielle Cammarata (13th place), and 6th grader Noelle Richardson (15th place). On the Men’s side, junior Chris Spencer placed 13th while freshman James Cochrane placed 15th. Congratulations to our Cross Country Lions, and we wish them the best in their Regional meet this weekend!
