Lacrosse Season Recap

Westminster Academy’s second lacrosse season was, unfortunately, shorter than expected. However, the team made the most of their time on the field and turned in another exciting and memorable season. The small season was highlighted by the team’s huge win against rival Calvary Christian Academy. It was their first victory over Calvary in program history.

“I would like to thank all of the players for putting in the hard work and dedication to make the second year of lacrosse a success, especially the seniors. They are the first graduates of the Westminster Academy Lacrosse program,” Head Coach Matt Salvatoriello said. Senior Captains were PJ Onstad, Chase Lalonde, Cameron Klassen, Jonathan Ulrich, and Sebastian Gammill.

Coach Salvatoriello continued, “Assistant Coaches, Gates Gentry, Domingo Delgado, and Ray Karam were a fantastic help, providing a great experience for our players. Lastly, a big thanks to all of the parent volunteers for their help on the field. Also, to the school administration, the athletic department, and all of the parents for their support.”

The coaches look forward to next season and the opportunity to continue to build on the solid foundation from this year. The future is bright for Westminster Academy Lacrosse. GO LIONS!
