Signing Ceremony For Student-Athletes

Three WA seniors signed their National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, February 5. Congratulations to our student-athletes who will be using their talents to glorify God at the collegiate level.

  • Donovan Lassiter accepted a full athletic scholarship from Lehigh University to play football for the NCAA FCS-Division 1 team. Many consider Lehigh University one of the most academically and athletically demanding leagues in college football. “It’s always an encouragement when athletes are rewarded for their hard work. The Westminster Academy community has certainly been a better community with Donovan Lassiter in it,” Varsity Head Coach Tommy Lewis said.
  • Faith Lerro accepted a full athletic scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh for gymnastics. Even though WA does not have an official team for this sport, Athletic Director, Mr. Tony DeMare, shared his desire to celebrate her accomplishment. With regard to her acceptance, Mr. Walt Jominy said, “Since I taught her in every dual enrollment class at PBA, I’m excited for Pitt to get her for four years.”
  • Arianne Pascoe signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Covenant College. Varsity volleyball coach, Abby Adams shared, “Arianne is an asset to our team…she has a strong attitude and displays a Christ-like character.”

We congratulate these student-athletes for their accomplishment and wish them well for their future endeavors!
