Volleyball Celebrates Wins And Donations

The Lady Lions Volleyball program hosted a memorable Pink Night on Monday, October 7. Bringing together three school communities, each played to raise awareness for breast cancer. The evening kicked off with our middle school volleyball (red) team defeating Somerset Central in two sets. Then, the junior varsity team followed suit with a 2–0 victory over the Saint John Paul II Eagles. Facing a district opponent, our varsity team clenching a tight 3–2 win over the Eagles to end an exciting evening.

The event brought out a large and spirited crowd. As a result, all helped make the night a success. Fans gave generously at the entrance, as well as purchasing Chick-fil‑A sandwiches and yummy treats at the Bake Sale. Fans, players, and coaches had several opportunities throughout the evening to recognize who they were representing. Each player and coach chose to honor a breast cancer survivor or to remember a cancer fighter for the evening. The proceeds exceed $950 and will all go to the Michael and Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center at Holy Cross Hospital. Thank you to everyone for your support!
