04 Sep Summer Reading Challenge Results
The “need to read” was a call to action many lower school students took seriously this summer as we prepared to open our brand-new Lower School Media Center. With its Creation theme and beautiful new trees, Mrs. White, the Lower School Media Specialist, themed the summer challenge with a tree as well. The response was great!To receive a bronze medal this year, students had to read a total of at least 1,000 minutes this summer. Many students read above that and received a silver or gold medal for all their hard work. To celebrate, students were invited to a pool party and received their medals in chapel last week.
Here are the results:
- Gold Medal for 2000 minutes read: 27 students
- Silver Medal for 1500 minutes read: 14 students
- Bronze Medal for 1000 minutes read: 16 students
- Honorable Mention (just under 1000 minutes): 3 Students
With a total of 60 students, we congratulate them all for their diligence this summer!
