Lower School Celebrates Reading

Lower School Celebrates Reading

Throughout the school year, students in Lower School participated in the challenging Accelerated Reader program. This program strengthens reading skills and boosts comprehension. Each student is assigned a point goal to meet each quarter. They take short online quizzes and receive points based on their reading.

For the 2018–19 school year, over 100 students achieved their goal for all four quarters. The two students with the highest points in each grade enjoyed a pizza party in the lower school ballet room on Tuesday, May 21. Mrs. White, the Lower School Media Specialist, announced the top AR point-earners for each grade this morning at Chapel.

Here are the top AR point earners for 2018–19:

  • First Grade: Wyatt Masterson
  • Second Grade: Lariza Ora
  • Third Grade: Jaxon James
  • Fourth Grade: Nicholas Sirois
  • Fifth Grade:  Danny Puce

Congratulations to the fifth-grade student, Danny Puce, for being the top overall points winner this year with 765.3 points!
