Boosterthon Fun Run Breaks Last Year’s Record!

Boosterthon Fun Run Breaks Last Year’s Record!

Every year, Boosterthon puts the “fun” in fundraising. While the Lower School Fun Run held on April 18 was in fact fun, it was also a huge success and raised over $25,000! This total breaks last year’s!

Students from PK2 through fifth grade spent two weeks getting pledges and receiving prizes. In addition, students built up their character with this year’s theme—Mind Spark. In this incredible, science-infused character theme, students helped a team of brainy kids solve problems. While they teamed up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, our students learned five character traits to help strengthen themselves and our world: citizenship, growth mindset, zest, integrity, and teamwork.

The event culminated on the field with the run, taking 35+ laps around the track. Furthermore, second grade through fifth grade got an extra special treat—a color run! A special thank you goes to Benedetti Orthodontics for joining us on the field that day to hand out popsicles to our deserving runners.

In the weeks to come, classes will celebrate their success with classroom Boosterthon incentives. Mrs. Reeves’ second-grade class won the kickball game. They will face-off the Boosterthon team with Mr. Satterly pitching. Also, second to fifth grade get to play wipe-out, and PK2-first grade will enjoy extra playtime at recess for all their hard, fundraising work.
