Last night, Wednesday, April 20, was a fine arts extravaganza as both the middle and high school art students, orchestras, and choirs glorified God with their gifts and talents. Our Juried Art Show started at 5:30 p.m. in the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Narthex. The festival showcased artwork from all Middle and High School art classes. We could not be prouder of all the hard work these students put into their work. The evening continued with our Orchestra and Choir concerts in the Coral Ridge Sanctuary. On Friday, January 22, twenty-five Westminster Academy students from Art II, III and AP Art attended the Art Palm Beach (ABP) exhibit at the West Palm Beach Convention Center. APB is celebrating its 19th year of dedication to contemporary, emerging, and modern master works of art of the 20th and 21st centuries. Over 85 international galleries exhibit paintings, sculpture as well as functional and innovative design....

We are proud to share that Gaby Peña was selected to display two of her art pieces at the ArtBRAVO Juried Art Show at Artserve. Being chosen is a very special honor in and of itself since only about a third of the pieces submitted are selected by professional art jurors to be in the gallery. To top it all off, Gaby won not one, but two awards: Judge's Recognition Award and People's Online Choice. She was the youngest artist in the gallery. Congratulations Gaby!...

In December, in honor of the Fort Lauderdale Winter Boat Parade, the third, fourth and fifth-grade art students were given an opportunity to enter their drawings into the Winterfest Student Art Contest. Their entries were submitted and the winners will be announced in March of 2016. The drawings were also entered into the Westminster Christmas Boat Drawing Contest. All lower school students, faculty and friends were encouraged to vote for their one favorite drawing in each grade represented. The winners of the contest received a “boat load” of art supplies.
