The 2023 spring sports season is almost here, with tryouts and start dates just around the corner! Every student-athlete must have a completed athletic physical form turned in before trying out. If your student-athlete is playing a WA Winter sport that overlaps with the dates and times below, please communicate their intentions to their winter and spring coaches. Traditions live on at WA. This year’s Homecoming Court was presented at today’s assembly. Students nominated by their peers make up the members of the court. Seniors shared their testimony and fun facts, after which students voted for Homecoming King and Queen. Holding true to tradition, the school will present the court again during halftime at tomorrow night’s homecoming game, and a king and queen will be crowned. The Homecoming Game is tomorrow night at the west campus Athletic Complex, located at 3701 NW 44 Street in Lauderdale Lakes. The Lions Varsity Football team will take on the University School Sharks! The Lady Lions Volleyball program hosted its annual Pink Night on Tuesday, October 4, where it helped raise awareness for breast cancer. The day kicked off with students, faculty, and staff members being able to wear pink for the day for a minimum donation of $1. The evening included a four-game series against the Boca Christian Blazers. A bake sale and a donation table gave families and fans an opportunity to support the cause. The proceeds from the day were donated to the Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center at Holy Cross Hospital to aid in the fight against breast cancer....

We loved seeing so many families come out for the Back-To-School Tailgate to support the Varisty Lions Football Team! Special thanks to the Lions Parent Association for decorating cars and welcoming families. The Lions Football Team kicked off their season with a 13–12 victory over the Palm Beach Prep Sharks last Friday night. We are looking forward to a great season!
