Golf Tournament LogoOur annual golf tournament sponsored by Benedetti Orthodontics will be held on Monday, October 23, at the Coral Ridge Country Club at 11:00 a.m. The cost is $250 per golfer/$1000 per foursome. All skill levels are welcome and students are encouraged to participate. Prizes will be awarded for both gross and net teams, closest to the pin, longest drive and more!

Sponsorship opportunities start at $200 and provide a great avenue to promote your business. Click here to register and view sponsorship levels. All proceeds will be designated for the west campus Athletic Complex development fund. Homecoming 2017—Next Week!

Lions-HeadMark your calendars for next Friday night, October 6, for the 2017 Homecoming Football Game. The Lions Varsity Football Team will take on The Benjamin School Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Please see below for the evening’s schedule.

  • 5:30 p.m.—Alumni Tailgate and Hall of Honor Celebration
  • 6:40 p.m.—Entrance of the Lions Football Team, prayer, and the national anthem
  • 7:00 p.m.—Kickoff
  • Halftime—Homecoming Court and alumni photo
  • Postgame—Alumni vs. Faculty Flag Football Game

Next week’s dress-up days are:

  • Monday—Twin Day
  • Tuesday—Grandparents (11th & 12th) and Babies (9th & 10th)
  • Wednesday—Colors Wars: seniors (black), juniors (green), sophomores (purple), and freshman (pink)
  • Thursday—Music: seniors (country), juniors (rap), sophomores (rock-n-roll), and freshman (pop)
  • Friday— WA Spirit Day

Voting ballots were distributed, and the entire upper school student body voted for the Homecoming king and queen, which will be announced during halftime of the Homecoming football game. Please see the list of those on the court below.

Stadium-Style Reserved Seating

Lions-HeadWe are looking forward to another exciting year in athletics at WA. We will be offering the stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium and football stadium again to help raise funds for the basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball programs. This special seating is an excellent opportunity to help raise extra funds for our athletic programs as well as provide a comfortable and unique athletic experience for our parents, grandparents, and fans.

There are forty-eight (48) box seats in the stadium, and there are forty-eight (48) box seats in the gymnasium. Below you will find the purchase price for the box seats for the 2017-2018 basketball, cheer, football, and volleyball seasons as well as various buying options.

The following levels are available for purchase:

  • Blue Level—Three Sports (Football*, Volleyball, & Basketball*)
    $500 donation (Two reserved seats)
    $50 for each additional seat
  • White Level—Any Two Sports (Football*, Volleyball, & Basketball*)
    $400 donation (Two reserved seats)
    $50 for each additional seat
  • Red Level—Any One Sport (Football*, Volleyball, or Basketball*)
    $300 donation (Two reserved seats)
    $50 for each additional seat

*Please note that cheer program will receive a portion of the funds raised for football and basketball seasons.
