Also, our annual dinner auction is coming up on March 2 but you can help us now by acquiring items. This is the largest fundraising event of the year, so please get involved! Proceeds from the auction will be used for the renovation of the Dr. Kenneth P. Wackes Media Center which will benefit all students at WA.

6th Annual BBI Sporting Clay Tournament Recap

24254988_1891149597591868_1213233972053518791_oThe 6th Annual BBI Sporting Clay Tournament was held on December 1. It was a beautiful day at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee! We enjoyed a hearty breakfast before the tournament began and the competition kicked off shortly after. Eleven teams, including WA students and alumni, came out to enjoy a competitive day on the range in support of Westminster Academy. The day ended with a delicious barbecue lunch and awards’ presentation to our winning teams and top shooters. This year’s tournament grossed over $24,000 for the financial assistance fund.

aa-auction-logoPlease join us on Tuesday, December 5, at 8:00 a.m. in the Lower School Media Center for an auction planning meeting. Coffee and light refreshments will be served. This year’s annual dinner auction, Adventure Awaits, will be held on Friday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Fellowship Hall.

This is the largest fundraising event of the year, so please get involved! All proceeds will be designated for the Dr. Kenneth P. Wackes Media Center renovation. Click here to download the acquisition letter and form to solicit items. Some businesses may be more likely to donate at year-end, so it is never too early to start! Restaurant gift cards, spa certificates, hotel stays and unique experiences are always guest favorites. Register now for the 6th Annual WA Sporting Clay Tournament presented by BBI on Friday, December 1, at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee. Warm-up and breakfast begin at 9:00 a.m. and tournament play will start at 10:00 a.m. Teams take a golf cart around a course of fourteen stations with each participant shooting at four clay pigeons per station. Lunch and the awards ceremony will follow the tournament at 1:00 p.m. If you do not own a shotgun, you will be able to rent one from Quail Creek.

All skill levels are welcome to participate! The registration fee is $300 per shooter or $1,100 for a foursome. Our participant gift this year is a dry-fit long sleeve shirt, so we ask that you please register by Monday, November 20, to ensure you receive the appropriate shirt size. All proceeds will be designated for the student financial assistance fund. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $200 and provide great marketing exposure to our school community.
