While it offers a wide range of age-appropriate, structured activities, Camp WA is also loads of fun. The program is open to children turning two before September 1 through those going into sixth grade. Our activities-based camp provides a fun, safe, and secure environment at an affordable price. With Teacher Appreciation Week and the end of the school year approaching, Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) has plenty of opportunities to serve. On Monday, May 7, PTF will host a luncheon to honor our teachers. In addition, they welcome your sweet contribution of specialty desserts or family favorites. PTF Volunteers will be at the Lower School drop-off line to collect all baked goods. Upper School students can bring their baked goods to the office. On Wednesday, May 2, the Alumni Association held their annual LaSpadas luncheon for seniors and alumni. This year, alumni also invited retired teachers to join in the tradition. The Alumni Association welcomed the class of 2018 into the fold by challenging and encouraging these newest members. AJ Barbar ’11, Erin Read ’94 Proko, and Brandon Climenhage ’16, each shared from their different backgrounds about how God continues to work in their lives after graduating from WA. On Friday, April 20, 78 anglers set out bright and early with a goal of reeling in the biggest catch of the day. WA students, parents, and fellow anglers boarded 20 boats. In addition, 17 joined the Fish City Pride drift boat. Fun and competition ensued under blue, clear skies. As the day came to a close, boats returned to shore. Everyone weighed in their catches at the home of Tom Ellis. They later returned to WA for the awards' ceremony by the pool.
