The Varsity Athletic Awards took place on Monday, May 14, in the Kennedy Fellowship Hall. The night included a video slideshow featuring action photos of our student-athletes, a team recognition video, and finally, an awards presentation. Because the accomplishments of our teams and student-athletes were celebrated, it was a memorable night. The highest award of the evening is the C.L.A.S.S. Award for a male and female athlete who has displayed Christ-likeness, dynamic leadership, academic excellence, servant attitude, and sportsmanship in their athletic careers. Parent Teacher Fellowship invests countless hours throughout the school year. Therefore, we would like to recognize Marty and Melissa Scasserra for their faithful service as PTF Presidents. As excitement builds for the end of the school year, PTF is currently preparing for three receptions. Every year, WA has a promotion ceremony for fifth grade and eighth grade and then concludes the school year with Baccalaureate and Commencement. PTF encourages any willing parents to assist in the receptions if they are able. In addition, high school students who are willing to help will receive community service hours.
