Fine Arts closes out the 2021–22 school year with a magnificent performance of Cinderella, presented by Journey Kids Dental! Over 1,200 seats were sold over four performances. Our students truly shine in the spotlight, from the magnificent singing to the incredible choreography, fantastic acting, and gorgeous costumes. Our awesome WA Junior Thespians spent last weekend in Orlando at the Florida State Junior Thespian Festival. These talented 6th–8th-grade students attended performance workshops, then competed in multiple events to showcase their acting, singing, and overall performance abilities. To qualify to attend the State Festival, they first had to compete and receive a high enough score at the District level, which happened locally in November. At that competition, nine of our performance and technical theater “events” scored in that range, so those events are what the students then presented in Orlando. Troupe 8570 did an amazing job at the Florida District 7 International Thespian Competitions.   Last week, those present were transported back in time and immersed in a wonderful tradition from the Renaissance period. The exceptional 50th Anniversary Year Performance of Westminster Academy’s Christmas Madrigal Feaste was a sold-out dinner and performance to remember.
