Westminster Academy provides high school students the challenge and opportunity of college courses through the Dual Enrollment program with Broward College. Therefore, juniors and seniors with qualifying SAT/ACT scores and an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 may enroll. Because WA students perform well above average in these college courses, they also receive college opportunities. Our Annual Sunshine College Fair event will be held Saturday, October 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Westminster Academy, Saint Andrew’s School, St. Thomas Aquinas, and North Broward Preparatory School sponsor this private fair for our high school students only. There will be over 200 universities and colleges attending the fair this year. The Sunshine College Fair will be held on the Saint Andrew’s High School campus, located at 3900 Jog Road in  Boca Raton, Florida. The Westminster Academy Athletic Department will be hosting a College Recruiting Seminar on Monday, August 28, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. This assembly is for all student-athletes grades 7 through 12 and their parents. The WA Athletic Department will address NCAA requirements, policies, and will present vital information regarding the college recruiting process. The evening will include WA head coaches and student-athletes who have experienced the different aspects of recruiting. There will also be handouts and a Q&A time with athletic directors and coaches. We are proud to announce that Gabriella Shyne, currently a Senior, has been named as a National Merit Finalist and will progress to compete with approximately 16,000 students in the top 1% nationwide, for National Merit Scholar status. This is a great honor for both her and for Westminster Academy. Additionally, Gabriella received the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award and scholarship this past weekend.
