On Wednesday, May 16, the senior class left on their final journey together. This week-long trip gives students a chance to reflect on their time at WA, make new memories, and receive final words of wisdom from Mr. Walt Jominy. With the exciting activities planned, this trip will surely be memorable.Their first stop is in Georgia for a zip line canopy tour: five hours of zip lines, high ropes, and a 100-foot free fall. As the Class of 2018 concludes their senior year, WA student-athletes prepare to play at the next level. A signing ceremony took place last week for Billy Bevill who signed to play football with Wheaton College. Then on Tuesday, three seniors signed to play baseball at the college level. Congratulations to Christian Petrisko for signing with Brandeis University, Cristian Sosa for signing with Eastern Florida State College, and Ben Kalbaugh for signing with Taylor University. Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church invites the WA Class of 2018 to the 10:00 a.m. service this Sunday, May 13, as they recognize and pray for our soon-to-be graduates. On Wednesday, May 2, the Alumni Association held their annual LaSpadas luncheon for seniors and alumni. This year, alumni also invited retired teachers to join in the tradition. The Alumni Association welcomed the class of 2018 into the fold by challenging and encouraging these newest members.
