Zach Scott Named Part Of Broward’s Basketball “Fab 5”

The Sun-Sentinel recently unveiled their top preseason picks for the best basketball players in Broward County which included WA senior, Zach Scott. This group, known as the “Fab 5” includes players from all schools in the county, regardless of FHSAA classification.

Zach has signed to play basketball at Florida Gulf Coast University and is the 19th-ranked senior prospect in Florida. Zach helped the Westminster Academy Lions clinch the Class 4A State Championship last year. Way to go Zach, and go Lions!

WA Alumnus, Paul Atkinson ’17, Named Ivy League Rookie Of The Week!

sfl-westminster-standout-big-paul-atkinson-com-001WA alumnus, Paul Atkinson ’17, was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week contributing heavily to recent wins for the Yale Bulldogs. Read the full article here. While at WA, Paul helped the Lions capture the State Championship in 2017—being named Player of the Game—and State Runner-Up in 2016. Paul was also recognized as First Team, All-County by both the Miami Herald and the Sun-Sentinel. Congratulations Paul!

Basketball Season Stadium-Style Reserved Seating Available Now!

Lions-HeadWe are looking forward to another exciting year in basketball at WA. We will be offering the stadium-style box seating in the gymnasium to raise funds for the basketball and cheer programs and provide a comfortable and unique athletic experience for our parents, grandparents, and fans.

There are forty-eight (48) box seats in the gymnasium. Below you will find the purchase price for the box seats for the 2017-2018 basketball season.

The following level is available for purchase:

  • Red Level—Basketball*
    $300 donation (Two reserved seats)
    $50 for each additional seat

*Please note that cheer program will receive a portion of the funds raised for the basketball season.
